Transporting Your New PUPPY Home

In years past the normal way of getting your puppy would be looking in your local newspaper, calling the breeder, picking it up and taking it home. Those days are long past since the age of the Internet. The Internet has brought a new way of purchasing your puppy. It has opened up more avenues and more choices then the local paper could ever hope to offer. At any given time of day or night you can browse through the pet web sites and have a choice of color, size or breed as well as the locale the puppy you are looking at. The question you may have in your mind is that if you are looking at a puppy where the breeder is located in California and you live in New York, how I will get my new baby home. There are a few different avenues however there is one way that is best above all of them.

English: Puppies in a bin.

A drive from New York to California would be out of the question for most but in this day in age there are many options available to buyers for transporting a baby home. The three most popular ways are as follows:

1. Breeders offering personal delivery for an extra charge.
2. Commercial transportation that specialize in transporting pets directly to your door.
3. Having your puppy shipped via airplane transport.

Some breeders for a small fee will bring your puppy right to your door. This gives you a chance to meet the person you are buying from as well as personal service. However there are some high risks to be aware of if you choose this method. Depending on where you live could make all the difference with this choice. Puppies driving in cars for long periods of time can get car sick, throw up all over the place and refuse to eat. Some will even refuse to go to the bathroom. Depending on the size of the puppy you are buying this could spell disaster especially if you are buying a Yorkie or a Maltese. The tinier the puppy being transported it also raises the risk. They can develop hypoglycemia; keel over and kick the bucket in just a matter of hours. Even if the puppy survives the trip the affect may still be seen days later. Some may want to blame the breeder for the puppy being sick but it may not be the case. Most will choose this method of transport if available; however a word of caution should be given when using this method.

Commercial transportation is another way to bring your new baby home. This service can be contacted by the breeder or the buyer to be set up. The cost is usually around five hundred dollars or less and they will bring your baby right to your door. Usually several weeks advance noticed will be needed if you intend on using this method. What they do is they get a list started of all their potential stops and carefully map out the route that will save the company the most time and expense. If you don’t happen to be within the vicinity they may not be able to fit you in and you may have to wait until the next trip or not at all. The drawbacks of course include the time it takes your puppy to get there when they get on the road. Once your puppy is on the way, it could take up to 3-7 days for that new baby to reach your doorstep. With this way of transport you are also dealing with the same problems with personal delivery but there are more. There is not just one puppy traveling but possibly twenty or more puppies. All twenty puppies in the back of the truck and let’s hope none of them have kennel cough, because your new family member may catch it since it’s airborne.

A buyer can have their puppy transported via airplane. Some would not even dream to have there new addition fly on an airplane. This however by far is the safest and quickest way to get your new baby to you. Delta Airlines has a Pets First program in which they offer some direct and quick flights to your local airport. The problem with them if it’s too cold or too hot they can’t ship. During good weather Delta is a good choice however there is another choice if you can’t fly Delta.

Continental Airlines is a good choice of flying live animals because everything they do with the puppy for the most part is air and heat controlled, thus being able to ship all year long. In all airlines the puppy is shipped in a special pressurized compartment below the plane. Each puppy is in its own container that the breeder provides which reduces any type of contamination or airborne illness. Most puppies arrive the same day they are shipped. Finally in a few hours your baby arrives at your local airport in which you are eagerly waiting the arrival. All of the airlines have different places where you would pick up your new family member. Some it would be the ticket counter; also you can pick up your baby at the cargo facility and others the baggage claim service office. Your breeder would let you know in advance where to go.

Buying a puppy these days is quick, easy and more convenient then ever. A decision will have to be made which way you would like your new baby delivered to you; as you can see above the choice is pretty clear. It is safe and economical costing around two hundred dollars. I have been shipping puppies for about three years now and also have been on the receiving end so I can say from experience, flying your new baby home is the best way.

PET PASSPORT and PETS

EU pet passport with rabies vaccinations - EU-...

Pets require a passport when they travel from one country to another. The passport has official information about the animal in picture. Pet Travel Scheme or PETS, is a scheme which allows the easy obtainment of the pet passport with out going through quarantine. The animal can easily travel between member countries. Even the issue of passport is expedited through this scheme. They issue passport for even transport of pets. Some of the member countries are countries of the European Union along with the United Kingdom. The United Kingdom has been famous for rabies control in the past and that is the reason why they require six month quarantine period for imported animals.

PETS’ scheme was introduced on October 1st, 2001. The scheme has also been rolled out in countries like the United States, New Zealand, Australia, and Canada. Pets travelling to countries other than the member countries require a valid passport and rabies vaccination.

The pet passport has multiple forms which are in a small blur booklet or on pink A4 sheet. The passport contains the tattoo number of the animal or a microchip. A certification too is included, which has information about the rabies vaccination, which is signed by a veterinary surgeon that is officially approved. People usually confuse the passport with a purple colored small folder which is a folder that has records of the pet’s complete vaccination history.

Some countries accept this passport alone and others ask for supporting documentations relating to the procedure that needs to be followed. All the documents are checked at the time of boarding and upon arrival, too. The pet can only be taken as cargo or excess baggage and not as a checked baggage.

There are different requirements for different countries. The rules also differ for import and export of the pets. But there are certain specifications which are common. The pet should have a microchip implant beneath the skin. The chip should be according to the ISOP specification. Also, there should be a rabies vaccination certification. And there should be a proof that the vaccination is working, this can be done by taking a blood serology test, which shows that the pet is presently rabies free.

Some countries demand that the pet should be treated for fleas, tapeworms, and ticks. It should be done within forty eight hours. The government certifications are documents which have information about the export of the animal. A letter should also be taken from the vet from whom they confirm the pet’s fitness for travelling. Each individual carrier also has their set of regulations about the export and import of the animal.

Before travelling, the owner should thoroughly research the regulations of the arrival and departure points. The destination’s government website should be checked out because some countries ask for separate certificates for proof, to see whether the pet meets their requirements or not. The county’s consulate should also be contacted for details about the formal procedures. The travel crate should also be approved prior to the travel. The crate should have the appropriate food and water containers.

The owner can apply for the pet’s passport soon after it gets the vaccination certificate. If the rabies vaccination is out of date, the new vaccination must be given, but this will delay the passport procedure. In some cases, booster vaccination can also be given. While travelling, the pet shouldn’t be sedated, because heights can have an adverse affect on medication. Even most of the carriers do not allow sedated animals. The charges of every carrier vary on the type and size of the animal. Also, animals might not be taken by a particular route because of adverse temperatures as that can risk the health of the animal. The authorized travel route must be taken, in this case.

If the required documents are missing the pet will be refused entry o the owner will be asked to put the pet for at least six months in quarantine

The Unique Characteristics Of The BICHON FRISE Breed

Bichons are a very popular dog breed to those who are allergy sufferers because they are one of many Hypoallergenic dogs. If you are interested in other dogs that are great for those who suffer with allergies, the following is a list of a number of Hypoallergenic dogs. This list is not exhaustive. However, you can easily research the many other Hypoallergenic breeds on the internet.

Non-Sporting Group

1) The Schnauzer
2) Yorkshire Terrier
3) Bedlington Terrier
4) Shih Tzu
5) Basenji
6) Chinese Crested
7) Samoyed
8) Italian Greyhound
9) Poodle
10) Xoloitzcuintli (Mexican Hairless)

Your Bichon Frise is unique and has a personality all his or her own. Even so, just as there are general guidelines for taking care of a baby, here are a few basic similarities in this particular breed that most Bichons will exhibit:

  • They do not like to be left alone for long periods. A Bichon left alone for more than a few hours on a regular basis can develop separation anxiety, which could mean chewed shoes!

  • Bichons can be hard to house-break. Be sure to stock up on puppy pads, plenty of paper towels, and patience. A kennel can help, too.

  • They love attention. Expect to see those two sparkling eyes and nose up-close often. It's a good thing Bichon Frise dogs do not shed, or you would likely be covered in white hair.

  • They are watchdogs, and will be kind enough to alert you to any guests, mail men, paper boys, visiting squirrels, and unique cloud formations.

  • There is a lot of home grooming needed so your Bichon Frise looks, and feels velvety soft. If you are not able to brush his or her coat out once a day, it should be done at least twice a week. Otherwise, the coat will become matted and tangled.

  • Professional grooming visits are highly suggested every four or five weeks. Consider it a spa day for your pup.

  • Bichons can be stubborn, but they are known to respond very well to training; especially when treats are involved.

  • Your Bichon Frise is a lively entertainer. They love to learn new tricks and show them off. Consider taking the time to teach them a few and don't forget those treats!

  • If you are interested in purchasing a Bichon Frise, it is always best to purchase your Bichon from a reputable breeder. The American Kennel Club is a great resource for finding one. A lot of how your puppy responds to you depends on how they've been treated before they arrive in your home. No animal acts out without reason and Bichons are not any different. If they are withdrawn and/or edgy there is most certainly a reason why. The American Kennel Club has specific standards for breeders they recommend. Starting your breeder search at their website would be a great place to start in finding your Bichon or any other breed.

SIBERIAN HUSKY - Information For Breeders And Buyers

The Siberian Husky is a purebred dog recognized by the American Kennel Club (AKC) as a breed in 1930. The Siberian Husky is a descendent of the "Eskimo dog," or sled dog, and is also a member of the larger Spitz group of dogs which derived from the Arctic. It's Spitz relatives include the Chow Chow and Pomeranian. It's Eskimo dog relatives include the Alaskan Malamute and the Samoyed. The Siberian Husky has traits of both groups including the high-set, triangular ears and curled, furry tail of the Spitz and the thick, double coat of insulating fur and overall wolf-like appearance of the Eskimo dog and other huskies.

    Siberian Husky
Siberian Husky - Photo by Marlin2121
Siberian Huskies were brought to Alaska in 1909 to participate in sledding competitions. Their endurance and intelligence helped the husky win many sled races. This dog breed is more commonly used in American Kennel Club competition than sledding races today, but the traits needed to pull sleds are still the characteristics needed to win.

The behavioral traits common to Siberian Huskies can be problematic for the wrong owner. Like wolves, Siberian Huskies howl. This excessive howling can come as a surprise to an unsuspecting owner. Huskies are independent, stubborn, energetic, pack animals that require specific care and training to maintain their happiness and health. Siberian Husky breeders will not sell puppies to owners who are not educated about the breed. This is because there are a disproportionate number of huskies sitting in shelters and rescue centers because their uneducated owners wanted a beautiful dog but failed to research the behavioral characteristics of the breed. Siberian Huskies are considered one of the top elevem dogs that increase homeowner's insurance due to their tendency to escape and run. Other "bad" dogs on this list include Rottweilers and Pit Bulls.

Siberian Huskies, like wolves, have a pack mentality and are unhappy and bored without constant interaction with either humans or other dogs. They require adequate room to run and will become destructive if tied up or cooped up in a pen. They have a lot of fur and, thus, a lot of fur to shed. Potential owners must know how to care for their husky before buying.
Siberian Husky breeders will not sell purebred huskies to just anyone. In fact, breeders may have more questions for potential buyers than buyers have for the breeders. Because of the high incidence of abandonment of this breed, breeders will want to ensure potential owners are a good match for a Siberian Husky.

To find reputable Siberian Husky breeders, it is important to make sure they live in a cool climate as huskies are made for cold weather and can suffer heatstroke in high temperatures. Other traits to look for in a good breeder include the following: the breeder maintains their own kennels, their huskies have received appropriate medical screening and immunizations, the breeder does not breed huskies with known medical conditions or behavioral problems, they do not sell to pet stores or pet brokers, the kennels are clean and meet huskies' training and social needs, they are experts on the breed and affiliated with purebred rescue centers, they have good references such as the AKC (American Kennel Club), they interview buyers to ensure they are a good match and they are willing and able to provide Siberian Husky information.

Andrew Preston is a dog lover who is familiar with Siberian Husky breeders, and has experience raising Samoyeds, which are close Husky relatives. Siberian Husky breeders should educate potential owners about the wolf-like behavioral traits of this beautiful breed. This article provides general Siberian Husky information and information about locating reputable Siberian Husky breeders.

    YORKIEPOO Breed Information

The Yorkiepoo is a designer dog that was bred by crossing the Yorkshire terrier with the miniature or a toy poodle. There are well known for being one of the few varieties of hypoallergenic dogs and are not recognized by most kennel clubs. The Yorkiepoo was originally trained to be a trainable lap dog.

It takes on both the characteristics of their parent breeds.

    History
The Yorkiepoo was developed by crossing the Yorkshire terrier with the toy poodle. Many breeders are also now crossing the Yorkshire terrier with the miniature poodle as well. This creates a wide variation in sizes and weights of the Yorkiepoo. Those breeders that are truly dedicated to creating a new breed of dog will only breed toy poodles with Yorkshire terriers. This practice will eventually result in a more reliable size in addition to weight limit for this cross breed dog.

    Diet
Yorkiepoos should be fed a diet of high quality Kibble. Unfortunately they can be rather picky eaters. A tiny amount of canned food can be mixed in with their dog food in an effort to get them to eat. Without eating dry dog food the Yorkiepoo can suffer from gum disease, tooth loss and bad breath.

    Training
This is a very easily trainable dog as they are incredibly eager to please their owners. Positive training methods should be used with this dog as rewards like food will be highly effective in training this breed. You need to be careful though to not get to use to feeding them treats when you're trying to train them as you do not want your dog to become obese. This breed can quickly learn basic commands and can even learn fun tricks like crawl or play dead. They are incredibly enthusiastic to entertain so they will be very willing to learn what you want to teach them. This hybrid dog has been used in dog sports like agility and is also a therapy dog.

    Weight
Yorkiepoos should range and weights from between 5 to 12 pounds and need to stand between 7 to 10 inches tall.

    Temperament
The Yorkiepoo is a very lively dog that attaches quickly to their family. This hybrid dog is extremely affectionate and loves to be with their people. This is not a breed that does well being left alone in a crate or by themselves for long periods of time. If they are left alone for long periods of time they will tend to bark excessively and other behavioral issues. They would do best to be with the family that can spend a lot of time with them. They are very friendly so they will not make good watchdogs as they will happily great everyone that comes into their house.

How Is Your PIT BULLl’s Diet?: Dog Nutrition Tips

Part of being a loving, responsible Pit Bull owner is providing him with the proper diet to ensure he stays healthy. Many owners believe just because they purchase the most expensive brands of dog food for their Pit Bull that he is getting all of the vitamins and nutrients he needs, but often times, that is not the case. Humans can’t meet all of their nutritional requirements by eating one particular food, and neither can your Pit Bull. You are the one who is in control of this day to day aspect of your Pit Bull’s life, so essentially his health is up to you.

    Daddy
    Daddy (Photo credit: Wikipedia)
It is important to try to make sure your Pit Bull’s diet consists of all the vitamins and nutrients he needs to be healthy. A lack of vital vitamins and nutrients can cause your Pit Bull to have stomach problems, bones that break easily, and have weight problems. You can take the best care of your Pit Bull, but if he doesn’t have a proper diet, it isn’t going to make any difference. Diet also plays a role in your dog’s ability to fight off disease and infection, much the same as it does with humans. Your veterinarian can help made recommendations to help you provide the best diet possible for your Pit Bull.

When purchasing food for your Pit Bull, you should get a variety. Mixing up dry food and canned food will help give you a good mixture of ingredients and nutritional value that should help you to cover all the bases. Your dog will also enjoy the different textures of the food. They also enjoy bones and meant flavored treats.

Pit Bulls prefer dog foods made of meat, as they are primarily carnivores. Meat is a good source of energy and helps your Pit Bull grow, but he also needs fiber and carbohydrates to help with food absorption.

Many Pit Bulls also love to eat vegetables, hard to believe, huh? Check with your veterinarian first to make sure it is okay, then try it out. If your Pit Bull likes them, he will be getting plenty of additional vitamins and nutrients that dog food alone may not offer. It will also help to add some variety into his diet.

Making certain your Pit Bull’s diet is up to par is one of your responsibilities as a loving owner. It is important to talk to your veterinarian to see what his thoughts are and what he recommends, but whatever you decide, your Pit Bull’s health depends on you making smart choices on his behalf.

    Finding HYPOALLERGENIC DOG Breeders

Finding a good dog breeder when you want to buy a hypoallergenic dog can be difficult if you do not know what you are looking for. Many breeders, unfortunately, take advantage of those who do not know much about dogs and try to sell them mixed breeds, dogs that are sick, and dogs that are not hypoallergenic. Before you visit a dog breeder, you will have to conduct a little research into the type of dog you are looking for and the breeders in your area.

    Bichon Frise
Bichon - Hypoallergenic DogPhoto by smerikal
The best way to learn about the breed of hypoallergenic dog you want to bring into your home is to visit your library or spend some time on the internet. You will learn a lot about specific breeds that are considered hypoallergenic and also about their mood, types of living conditions that are the best for them, and how to care for the dog once you bring it home. You will also be able to see pictures of the dogs. This will help you when you visit a breeder. Your research should also include the price typically paid for specific breeds.

After you have decided which breed of dog you would like, you should research breeders in your area. Many times, breeders will advertise on the internet, at veterinarian offices, in the newspaper, and on community bulletin boards. You should find out if breeders are licensed before you pay them a visit. You can find out this information by calling the breeder and also calling local or national breeding agencies. They will be able to tell you if the breeder is licensed, which types of hypoallergenic dogs they breed, and if they have any complaints filed against them.

If you think you have found a legitimate dog breeder, then you should visit them to see which breeds they have available. You should take note of the condition the dogs are kept in, ask for the ages of the dogs, and when you are looking at specific dogs, you should see if their skin, eyes, and coat look healthy. Even though this will only tell you so much, it may be enough for you to decide if the dog is healthy enough to take home.

How much you pay for your new dog will depend on the breed. Most pure bred dogs can cost a few hundred dollars. Make sure that you buy the breed you want. Breeders do not usually offer a return policy. If the price seems too high or too low, check with other breeders in the area. Do not buy from the breeder if you suspect you are not getting the dog you asked for.

Buying a new dog is not always easy, but if you are careful about who you do business with, you will find the perfect dog for your lifestyle. Hypoallergenic dogs usually cost more than other breeds, but if you have allergies, you may not have a choice. Take the dog to your vet to make sure the dog is healthy soon after bringing it home.

There are many ways to get your dog out of its boredom activities. Many toys are available which simulated duck, dog, rodent etc.

These may be kept inside the crate and in particular, puppies love these items.  A buster cube with multiple treats may be placed in the dog’s shelter and the animal soon understands on how to roll the buster cube to get the treats it prefers. A Buster Cube is an ingenious toy use for simulating and activating your dog during play and feed time.  Instead of placing the food monotonously in one place, change the place of feeding suddenly.

Such actions will be helpful for removing the boredom like activity in your dog. Activities pertaining to boredom need to be redefined well by the dog owners.  This will help them to a greater extent to drive away the unwanted behavior patterns in their pet dogs.

For example, some dogs may often have destructive biting characters and will be seen biting chair, cloth, mats, and everything that can see. After ruling out the teething problem if it is a puppy, provide it with some large sized balls, mineral mixture based bone materials, etc. Such variety of materials help to reduce the boredom related activities.

Dog Dental Heath Care For Your AMERICAN PIT BULL

One of the most often overlooked areas in care of Pit Bulls involves dental health. It is important not only in caring for his teeth, but in also protecting his overall well being. Being able to chew food properly affects digestion, which can lead to all kinds of health problems for your Pit Bull. Learning how to care for your Pit Bull’s dental health needs at home can save you a lot of out of pocket expense over your Pit Bull’s lifetime.

    English: American Pit Bull Terrier

Believe it or not, you should try to brush your dog’s teeth at least once everyday. Just like you, your Pit Bull will have plaque and tartar that can destroy his teeth or lead to gum disease. It could result in your Pit Bull losing his teeth, or developing an infection.

If you haven’t already developed a dental hygiene routine for your Pit Bull, you may need to take it slow and easy to get him used to the idea. Begin by getting him used to you holding him and looking inside his mouth. If you have an older Pit Bull, just holding the dog long enough to look in his mouth may be a challenge at first. Once you get him comfortable with you holding him and looking inside his mouth, start lifting up his lips and moving his tongue around so you can actually see his teeth. These first couple steps may take your Pit Bull some time to get used to, so be patient.

Once he is comfortable with you messing with his mouth, see your veterinarian to get a toothpaste recommended for him. Start by using the toothpaste on your finger for a few days, to get him used to the taste and feeling of you rubbing his teeth. Your Pit Bull will probably enjoy this, especially if he gets flavored toothpaste. He will definitely love the extra attention.
Eventually, your Pit Bull will let you brush his teeth, which will help protect his teeth and health. Dental problems in Pit Bulls can be very painful for them, and can often be hard to treat successfully.

If by some chance you have a Pit Bull that absolutely will not let you near his mouth, let alone brush his teeth, there are some alternative ways to ensure his dental health. Your veterinarian can recommend a good dental rinse that can be added to your Pit Bull’s water bowl to help rid the teeth of debris. Chew toys will also help clean the teeth and keep his bones strong and healthy. Be careful when buying chew toys for your Pit Bull to make certain the toy isn’t hard enough to damage his teeth, and is large enough so he can’t get choked on it.

There are some dog foods now available that are supposed to provide dental care, which actually means that the food sticks to plaque and tartar as the dog chews, therefore getting it off the teeth.

Remember, that to provide proper care for your Pit Bull, you cannot omit his dental health. By taking the time to provide dental care when your Pit Bull is a puppy, you can start ensuring his dental health in the beginning, which will save you a lot of costly vet bills as time goes by.

Caring for Your Soft Coated WHEATEN TERRIER Pet Dog

The soft coated wheaten terrier would be considered by most people to be “high maintenance”. This means that a lot of care should be given to it in order to maintain its stature. This statement also means that a lot of steps should be taken in order to care for the dog properly. So how do you care for your soft coated wheaten terrier pet dog?

    English: Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier
Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

Let us first talk about the coat. This is one of the most distinguishing characteristics of a soft coated wheaten terrier pet dog. In fact, when you take a look at the name, you will realize that the coat gives the dog its identity. Taking care of this essential part of the soft coated wheaten terrier dog can be quite a daunting task. This is especially true if you have just found out about the various standards that people use to judge the beauty of a soft coated wheaten terrier pet dog.

Frequent grooming is required to keep the coat shiny and to prevent matting. It also helps get rid of any accumulated dirt. You should comb or brush your soft coated wheaten terrier dog everyday to make sure that his coat remains silky and tangle-free. The coat also needs to be trimmed once in a while to preserve the “terrier look” and to allow a new coat to grow.

Besides the coat, you should also take care of the nails and teeth of your soft coated wheaten terrier pet dog. In case that you do not know what to do by yourself, you might want to hire some professional dog grooming services to do the job for you.

Another aspect you should concentrate on is the training. Remember to train your soft coated wheaten terrier dog as early as possible in order to ingrain in him the basics of proper behavior. There are several keywords that should come to your mind when training your soft coated wheaten terrier pet dog:

    1) Consistency – be consistent with your teaching. Do not use different commands in order to get the same response as this will only serve to confuse your soft coated wheaten terrier pet dog. You should also be consistent in terms of reward and punishment. This will help your dog understand what you want to happen.

    2) Tone – a soft coated wheaten terrier dog is actually pretty sensitive to the tones in the human voice. They say a dog is a man's best friend. I must say they are right. I have practically grown up amidst dogs since my family owns a pet store. From my childhood to adulthood, my then puppy and now dog, Tim, has been a source of constant comfort for me. I can say it proudly that I know quite a lot about dogs. I know more about them then is required. Maybe, because of that, dogs are my second family.

There are a variety of breeds. And every breed is unique in its own aspect. When you go out to buy a puppy, you'll have a hard time picking out the dog you want because you'll find yourself loving almost a dozen dogs in the stop. I have spent a lot of my time with various breeds in my family's dog shop. Yet I am the most comfortable with the Portuguese Water dog. This is the prime reason why my pet, Tim, is a Portuguese Water dog.

Portuguese Water dogs are also known as 'Cao de Aqua' in the native Portugal language which mean 'dog of water'. These dogs differ from other breeds in the aspect that they are known for their unique strength and water swimming abilities. This is why fishermen prefer these breed when they go out to sea. Since they have exceptional swimming and diving characteristics, these dogs guard ports and are used to retrieve broken nets and other stuff from the seas. They also run various errands, the most popular one, acting as couriers from ships to other ships or to the shore.

If you are an athletic person like me, out of all the breeds the Portuguese Water dog is for you. This is because they require a lot of exercise and you can easily let them accompany you for long walks. They are also very intelligent and thus are quick to respond so you can train them easily. In the recent years, you will find it easier to get a Portuguese Water dog as compared to the olden days. Even if you can't find them in the dog stores, you can easily order them online. These dogs are for sale online as well. You can even buy these puppies for sale as well.

Many agencies are selling dogs in online sales in order to sell various dogs at low prices simultaneously in order to make more profits. Dogs and puppies are both for sales on such websites. Most buyers prefer buying puppies since they are easy to train. However, with the Portuguese Water dog, you can buy the adult dog since they are quite intelligent and respond well to training even when they have matured.

In this technological era, puppies for sale or dogs for sale on the internet are just another advancement in the internet arena. These websites act as a replacement for pet shops. They are more detailed and easier to access than pet shops as well.

    ANXIETY in DOGS

A world without dogs would be crazy. It would be lonely for most of us if we lost our favorite canine companions.  Fortunately, almost every household in the US had had at least one dog.

Dogs are animals that need special care and extra attention from us humans. Compared to cats, dogs are more active and showy to their companions. Cats just lie and sleep most of the day. It only moves toward you to get is dose of petting or to ask for food.  Most of the time, cats would rather sleep or groom themselves.

Dogs are different. They are playful, they interact with other people and other dogs as well. They show appreciation to their owner, in one way or another.  Men and dogs have become ultimate partners, helping each other... enjoying a complimentary relationship.

Dogs are also utilized outside the home, even in law enforcement.  The police have canine units that help them in searching for different dangerous substances or objects. Sometimes, K-9 units are also used to search for missing people.   If well trained, these special dogs can detect or identify crime suspects by tagging the smell.

Even blind people immensely benefit from dogs.  These dogs serve as the “eyes” of their blind master.  These dogs enable blind people to live relatively normal lives, allowing them to leave their homes and enjoy the outdoors much like other people who can see.
Dogs have different personalities. It really depends on the breed or the dog's family history. From being a puppy to an adult dog, they are accompanied by their human masters. These people are familiar to dogs and how they live everyday.  The dog's everyday routine is usually dependent on their master's lifestyle.
However, some dogs experience anxiety that almost comes instantly when they are left alone by their master.  If they are left alone, these dogs can become destructive, which is their means of expressing frustration or loneliness.  This is actually called separation anxiety in dogs.  Dogs can become restless and bored, and if they see that their master is not around, they may go out to chew on anything that they can get their paws on --- from slippers, to furniture, to other objects found in the house.

In fact, chewing on certain objects that have the master's smell (socks, shoe, the sofa, or even the door) is one of the many symptoms of separation anxiety in dogs. Other symptoms to watch out for would be continuous barking, uncontrolled “pooping”, and various ways to get master's attention.

Probable causes for such behavior often include dogs that were not properly socialized or dogs that have been living in different homes. With this in mind, owners should take a second look at their dogs and see if they exhibit such behavior. This will give them the idea that their dogs might be suffering from separation anxiety.

Dealing with separation anxiety in dogs can be serious if not threatening for your carpet or sofa. Begin with a no “goodbye” technique.  Owners should not give their dogs any hugs before they leave the home.   This will only make the dog long for more attention from the owner. Another tip would be to leave some toys or goodies that will help your dog consume its time and takes its attention away from its anxiety.

Grooming and Brushing Tips for Dogs That Are HYPOALLERGENIC

Buying a hypoallergenic dog may help reduce allergic reactions to dog hair and dander, but these dogs require special attention because of their hair. Most of these breeds have short coats that resemble human hair rather than traditional fur. As a result, these dogs shed as much as humans, which means they require regular haircuts just like human beings do. Grooming is an essential part of taking care of a hypoallergenic dog. If you do not have the time to schedule regular appointments or the money to pay for three of four groomings a year, then you may have to buy another breed of dog.

While there are tools that you can use to groom your dog, if you do not feel comfortable or if your dog gets angry when you try to groom them, then you will have to find a professional groomer that will trim your dog’s hair. Groomers can be found in the phone book, online, or at chain pet stores. Choosing a groomer is not difficult, but sometimes finding one that does a good job can be.

The first time your dog visits a groomer, tell them how much hair to trim. When you bring the dog home, inspect the hair to see that the cut is even, that there are no cuts on the dog’s skin, and that it was cut to your specifications. If the groomer did not do their job, then you should find a new one. But if the dog was happy being with groomer and they did what you asked, then you should continue visiting them. Groomers can also trim the hair on your dog’s face and clip their nails.

In between groomings, you will have to brush your dog so that the hair does not clump or become matted to their skin. This can cause a lot of health issues and could cause the dog to be uncomfortable. A good grooming brush should not cost too much and your groomer can recommend the right style for your dog. Always brush in the direction of the hair and not against it as this will cause matting to occur. Your dog should enjoy the way the brush feels. You can brush your dog at any time as long as they are comfortable. It will only take a few minutes to properly brush your dog.

Matted hair can be difficult to untangle and you may need to bathe your dog in order to loosen the knots. Do not pull too hard or your dog will get unset. If the matted piece will not untangle, you should wait until the next grooming for it to be cut out. If knots persist, then you may need to brush your dog more often or have its hair cut even shorter.

Grooming and brushing are two ways that pet owners can show love toward their pets. Hypoallergenic dogs are special because more people can tolerate being around them. In return, it is your job to make sure their coat is always healthy.
